Bella

I wake up to the smell of bacon and see a plate of food on the nightstand next to me. A movement across the room has me looking in that direction to see Blade putting on his shirt. I can tell he just got out of the shower from his still wet hair.

“Good morning sleepy head.” He says as he walks over and kisses me on my forehead.

“Morning.” I mumble back as I raise up and grab the cup of coffee.

“I brought your breakfast before I got a shower so it may be a little cold now.”

“It’ll be fine. Thank you.” I say as he smiles back at me.

“You don’t mind looking after a three year old later today do you?” He asks surprising me by his question.

“I don’t mind but who’s child is it?” I ask.

“Well that my Little Pixie is a complicated question.” He says and I just raise my brow waiting on him to continue.

“This child in a way is related to Mina. Her aunt is a woman connected to the club that goes by the name of Fire.”

“Oh you mean Mina’s sister in law?” I say as I start eating my breakfast and surprising him for a change.

“You know about Mina’s sister in law?” He asks.

“Of course I do. Mina and I tell each other everything. Besides, Fire would call Mina every once in a while to check in.”

“Well hell, do you know about Fire’s sister?”

“Not really. I remember only one time Mina mentioning a girl while on the phone with Fire. Her name was unique.”

“Jade?” he asks.

“Yeah that’s it. But they didn’t speak about her for long. It seemed like a pretty heated conversation that ended quickly.”

“Well this child belongs to Jade. She needed someone to watch the little girl while she works a second shift. I told her that I didn’t think you’d mind doing that for her. I know how much you always enjoyed babysitting. So do you mind?”

“No I don’t mind. I’d enjoy that very much. Besides, it’ll keep me busy while locked up in this room.” I say shooting him my best glare.

“Don’t start that shit. You don’t have to stay in this room but you will not leave the premises without someone with you. I can’t trust you to not run off again.”

“Blade, about last night? It changes nothing.” I say to him.

“You think it changes nothing Bella but it does. It’s proof that I am the only one for you, no matter how pissed off you think you are over something that wasn’t what it seemed. I’m going to see if any of the guys need help in the shop. And let me make something clear...........I do not nor have I ever blamed you for our baby’s death.” He says as he leans down to kiss me before walking back out the door.

After I finish my breakfast, I’m going through my clothes so that I can take a shower when my phone rings. It’s been so long since I used my regular phone that it makes me jump.
